1. I have been hit with a sweets hysteria. Donuts, candy bars, cake... oh, woe is me. Well, not me; I'm quite happy cramming it down, but I'll regret it when I'm several months post-birth, crying over my maternity jeans in one hand and a tiny pair of pre-children jeans in the other ("Really? I fit into these?!") Tomorrow is a new day. Be strong, Lenae.
2. I went to the grocery store this evening to grab some stuff I needed for dinner. There was a small kiosk set up near the produce section where a woman was selling portrait packages for a local photographer. I'm the perfect wide-eyed target for people like her: I'm polite to a fault and would probably give her my car if she asked for it. Anyhoo, first awkward part of encounter with Portrait Kiosk Lady- She introduced herself in Spanish, then proceeded to translate everything she said -initially in English- into Spanish. I could follow most of it after four years of high school Spanish, but... well... I'm not Hispanic. I'm Filipino. And I answered all her questions in English, so I was perplexed as to why she kept on with the translating. I felt bad for all the linguistic work she was putting into it. Second awkward part: She attempted to have me pay for a reservation spot even though I told her several times that I couldn't commit to a date without seeing my calendar, which I didn't have on me. She finally snatched up the contact forms I'd filled out for her and shrieked, "Well, fine! I guess I'll just rip these up! Come back if you're able to!" Must have been a bad day. Maybe I should have given her my car. Or at least bought her the donuts I wanted for myself.
3. We were at an Air Force family picnic today which we give an A for kid-friendliness. They had an entire water area set up with an inflatable water slide and a handful of kiddie pools. My boys went crazy! Gabriel was stripping off his shirt before we'd even found a place to put our things. It's all fun and games, though, 'til someone's kid PEES all over the ground while they wait in line to go down the slide. Then it's just icky. We went and swam in the lake after that. I'm so grossed out talking about it, I think I need to hit up the Purell.
4. Earlier this week, my husband told me, "I have love for you. Lots of it." Doesn't that make your teeth hurt?!
5. Earlier this week, my oldest son told me to be quiet because "E-why's sleeping!" and could he please have some yogurt?
6. Earlier this week, my youngest son learned how to say, "Uh-oh." He says the "uh" part, but only mouths the "oh" part; it makes my teeth hurt too.
7. For anyone who reads my blog regularly, I'm sorry for all the lists and random compilations of Lenae trivia (but you love it, right?) I promise I have deep thoughts waiting to surface someday soonish.

*Your* quick takes make my heart happy! And yes, my teeth are hurting. Probably from wanting to join you in your sugar hysteria...my teeth want to sink into a sweet, soft, pillowy...
Sigh. Anything that's not baked makes me sad.
Oh, and sorry about the random kid-pee. Nothing ruins the fun like that, I suppose :) But who's to say tons of kids hadn't already let loose in those pools, eh? Fun thoughts.
This was a RIOT! Thanks for linking up to 7 Quick Takes - you gave me a laugh today. :>)
